ASTD designed a solution for just such a dilemma:
- Two tandem belly rollers mounted over the transport conveyors
- The drums are constructed out of stainless steel and pivot in the middle
- Bellies are rolled flat; the ham side is pinched holding it in place for easy removal of ribs
- The rollers run at the same speed as the conveyors
- Shields are mounted to protect fabrication workers from being injured
- Stainless-steel conveyor frame that is wash-down rated and easy to clean
