The problem: A Minnesota plastic bottle manufacturer found it was time to replace their old bottle conveyor that moved the bottles from the injection molding machine to the palletizing system.
The Challenge: two locations became trouble spots on the bottle conveyor:
- At the injection molding machine the light-weight bottles tended to tip as they entered the bottle conveyor.
- The inspection station belting would pause as a bottle was inspected occasionally causing a bottle to tip as it exited or re-entered the bottle conveyor.
The solution: Vande Berg Scales designed a bottle conveyor using Intralox 2400 flush grid belting and adjustable product guides that help the bottle conveyor as the belt speeds are adjusted to the injection molding machine and the inspection station.
The result: a very satisfied customer producing plastic bottle at 84 pieces per minute.
